Miranda was surrounded by music and dance growing up in an Indonesian community in Australia. She frequently found herself costumed and nudged on stage at celebrations and gatherings. As an adult she followed her curiosity for dance to the world of flamenco, chasing Duende and often to the count of 12, 3, 6, 8 & 10. It wasn’t until moving to New York in 2011 that she was drawn back to her roots and with Gamelan Dharma Swara continues to learn about the ever-challenging depth and beauty of Balinese dance. Her pursuit of Duende now also includes that of Taksu.

A daily architecture and design habit as well as immersing in musical experiences accompanies her dancing.
