Annie became familiar with Javanese gamelan during her undergraduate years at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR. She fell in love with the meditative quality of gamelan and was eager to find an ensemble once she moved to New York in 2022. Annie discovered Gamelan Dharma Swara when they performed at Lincoln Center and was blown away. She is very proud to now be a board member of GDS and hopes to continue to carry out our mission of bringing the wonderment of gamelan to all communities of NYC. 

Annie works as a Data Analyst for NYU's Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and spends her free time making video art and sewing.
