Chris Canahui is a technician, gardener and tinkerer. He can be found throughout NYC fixing coffee machines, the engines that keep the city running. A Brooklyn native, he comes from a background of math and physics and Dharma Swara is his first experience playing with an ensemble.

A lifelong passion for gamelan was sparked by a high school teacher playing Balinese records for the class. He is so excited for the opportunity to learn from such incredible musicians.
