Christopher Romero studied Hindustani music with Ali Akbar Khan and began playing with Gamelan Sekar Jaya in 1986. He led that group on a tour of Bali in 1992, and when we came to NYC in 2000 was appointed Executive Director of Gamelan Dharma Swara which he helped bring back to life after a long hiatus. He is a photographer and also plays with NUMÜN an experimental ambient outfit that is releasing a new record in 2023.
