Dance
Kayla Chowdhury works in advertising sales at The New York Times, where she focuses on partnerships across luxury, books, and education. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with friends.
Kayla’s interest in Balinese gamelan and dance comes from her Indonesian background and the cultural traditions passed down from her mother. Growing up with that connection sparked a curiosity to learn more about the music, movement, and communal spirit of Indonesian performance.
She joined DS as a way to reconnect with that heritage and commemorate her late mother. She values the community DS fosters. Kayla is looking forward to continuing to learn, performing together, and being part of a group that celebrates this vibrant cultural tradition.
