I joined Dharma Swara in October of 2015, when my husband and I moved from Munich, Germany, to the tri-state area. I googled to see which groups exist nearby, found Dharma Swara, took part in the Beginners Workshop, and am happy to say, here I am!

My love affair with gamelan began in 2011, when I joined the study group at the Munich Stadtmuseum, where we played Javanese and the Balinese gong kebyar gamelans. I am originally from Jakarta, Indonesia, and am lucky to also have lived in Austria, Germany, and Japan. In addition to making music, I write and photograph and enjoy storytelling.

The samara dana instruments are new to me, and I enjoy exploring its musical landscape. Am looking forward to new adventures with this exciting and dynamic group!
